One common question that is on many people’s mind at this current moment – When can we travel. And so, where better to stage a fashion show than in an actual airport? This was Hermes creative director Nadege Vanhee-Cybulski’s thinking: she presented the brand’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection in an airport hangar at Le Bourget airport, located in the outer suburbs of Paris.
This collection is about preciousness and precision, curves and materials contoured to the body. Studs tremble like understated pearls, skin is hidden then revealed, a print dances freely. A work of intimate and surprising poetry. Details are placed in unexpected spots, generating new perspectives. Shorts feature a drawstring waist, silk gauze floats on a dress, an eyelet emerges on a bright trench coat.
